How is the procedure carried out?
Procedures can be carried out in person at any BASE-Gestió d’Ingressos office and, in the city of Tarragona, at the offices of the Unidad de Multas (Traffic Fines Unit) at 12 ground floor, Assalt Street, 43003 Tarragona (tel. 977 253 413).
- On request, the calibration certificates of the equipment used to establish the traffic offence (radars for speeding offences and breathalysers for drink-driving controls) can be consulted.
- For speeding offences the corresponding photograph can be consulted.
The notification of the traffic offence is required for this procedure.

Fine
The first notification allows for a 50% rebate for all procedures initiated on or after 25 May 2010, except cases specified in the Law governing Traffic, Motorised Vehicles and Road Safety.
